The Digital EnergyTM Match 19" UPS provides cost-effective and near-perfect power protection for a wide range of 19" rack-mount applications. The units are equipped with RS232 and SNMP interfacing possibilities, allowing them to use the free GEDE software for all well-known operating systems. They are specially designed for typical rack-mount demands, like long backup times, high ambient temperatures, and high over-voltage protection. The attractive design allows front access for battery replacement.

As the batteries are front accessible, they can be replaced in an instant without removing the unit from the rack. 

The Match 19" UPS is a microprocessor-controlled, line-interactive UPS. The high efficiency of this UPS leads to significant power savings over the lifetime of the product.

Static Transfer Switch

Details

 

Static Transfer Switches (STS) are designed to transfer the supply between two independent AC power sources. Unlike traditional automatic transfer switches (ATS), a static transfer switch provides a fast load transfer (typically 1/4 of a cycle), which ensures uninterrupted operation of sensitive electronic equipment. Load retransfer to the preferred input source is virtually instantaneous (typically 0.1 ms).

The basic applications of STS are in automatic systems in the power industry, power supply systems for petrochemical industry, computer and telecommunication centers, automatic and security systems of 'intelligent' buildings as well as other equipment which is sensitive to interruptions in the supply.

The excellent overload capability and transfer algorithm enables fast fuse clearance in the event of a short-circuit. As a consequence the voltage immediately returns to normal to supply the other loads. The built-in transient voltage surge suppression system for SCR switches provides additional protection against damage to the supplied equipment.

SNMP Comm Card

SNMP/Web Interface
GE offers a very powerful SNMP solution that provides UPS information on the network for various applications. Protection software can use the information to provide a solid data protection solution. Management software can manage the UPS that complies to the industry standard UPS-MIB (RFC1628).

Monitoring the UPS using a standard browser is possible through the built-in HTTP-server. In addition, the multiple configuration methods, both serial and network, make this product easy to install and configure.

UPS Monitor Software

Details

 

GE's Digital EnergyTM JUMP ManagerTM software offers centralized monitoring and configuration of all UPS across a network, and can communicate with all protection software packages and SNMP agents installed throughout the network. JUMP Manager also supports SNMP agents from third parties, assuming they comply with the standard UPS MIB (as defined in RFC1628). This allows the user to manage serial UPS and UPS connected via a modem.

Manageable devices UPS can be monitored via the following communication methods:

  • SNMP/Web Interface box
  • SNMP/Web Interface card
  • JUMP Datashield software proxy agent
  • Third party SNMP agent (compliant with RFC1628)
  • Serial or Modem connection
